Job Title: Educator & Senior Leader
My pivot into education saw me fulfil a lifelong ambition to move into education. Training initially via the Graduate Teacher Programme (since replaced by Teach First), I was able to get direct experience in the classroom whilst studying teaching pedagogy via ICT towards eventual completion and Qualified Teacher Status.
With my career experience, I was able to add value via leadership of employability programmes before ultimately moving schools to take over as Head of Business Studies and ICT. This leveraged my University degree and brought me back into the world of Business.
Key Achievements
> Orchestrated a programme of modernisation and digital transformation by implementing Google Suite for Education enabling learners and practitioners to effectively develop, schedule and assess work.
> Delivered a 73% increase in the use of digital technology across the school community and was essential for distance learning during the Coronavirus pandemic.
> Developed and delivered a Strategic Development Plan aligning Digital implementation outcomes over a 5-year period. Met all KPIs within only 3 years following the success of the digital transformation plan.
> As a member of the Senior Leadership team facilitated a rapid uptake of digital technologies through an understanding of strategic drift and an ability to build agency within the school community despite embedded resistance to change.
