Orange was the precursor to EE and an early innovator in the mobile services sector.
Background:
First career role out of University, I moved to Bristol to work as a New Media Project Manager an eye-opening introduction to the world of work, with wacky job titles and hundreds of concurrent projects. A personal highlight was being one of the few people in the country with a "Matrix" phone, otherwise known as the Nokia 8110.
Key Achievements:
> Team leader for the redesign of the Orange.net portal for existing mobile customers. Undertook a root and branch redesign of the registration process utilising primary usability studies of designs with proprietary lab testing.
> Implemented a significant improvement in the user experience resulting in a 70% reduction in customer complaints about the process.
> Managed the delivery of cutting-edge online tools such as “Orange Pocket” which paved the way for the conceptualisation of subsequent smartphone apps.
